"The Aurora 6500 watt diesel generator is a well-made piece of equipment. It is the only one I have seen that comes with instructions to take it thru a 25 hour break-in at part load before really putting it to work. After filling with engine oil and diesel fuel, mine started up on the second crank: not bad for having to get fuel pulled thru the filter. However, there were no instructions for mounting the wheels and skids, which would be an issue for a mechanically inexperienced person. The Aurora folks stock a full set of spare parts, including what would be needed if I ever put 1000 hours on the generator and need to do the recommended engine rebuild.

I am really glad for the electric start feature. My arm strength is not enough to turn that little diesel engine over with the recoil start. The battery supplied with the generator arrived in excellent condition: it was nearly at full charge, and cranked the diesel just fine.

As advertised Very good quality machine. Had some issues but the suppport and help was very fast and much apprecaited. For the cost and ease of operation I would say there is nothing better in the small generator field for the homeowner, businessman,or cottager. 5 star company!

The generator came a few days ago in perfect condition. I added oil and fuel, and fired it up. It ran perfectly. Very little smoke at first, and then none after a minute or so. I'm starting the break-in period now, so I haven't loaded it heavily yet, but it powered a 1000W shop light without even burping!

The sales / technical team was great. I'm really happy with the entire experience

I bought the AGI6500DE and it's great. The service is prompt and helpful. The only negative I could say is that the starter motor failed after maybe 20 times of use. I have 95 hours of use on the generator. I believe the remote starter is holding the starter motor engaged too long and has contributed to the problem. Otherwise, totally worth the money.

This is one great company to do business with. The sales staff is both extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

I opted to send our advance payment via Bank Draft, which expedited the order processing considerably. (I'd highly recommend the Bank Draft Method of Payment to anyone considering a purchase.)

The generator was shipped via AAA-Cooper Truck Line, and was as easy to track on-line as if it were shipped via UPS. This is one great Trucking Company.

The Generator arrived in perfect condition. And, the driver helped unload it, and placed the generator in a convenient location.

Take your time with the initial Set-Up, and read the Manual that came with the Generator, and ALSO, go On-Line to Aurora's web-site and download the Generator Manual that is On-Line (The On-Line Manual is far more detailed and comprehensive).

READ THE MANUALS COMPLETELY THROUGH. They will help you properly prepare and maintain the Generator, and insure proper operation and a long life.

The Break-In Period is extremely important, take your time, and break-in the generator over an extended period of time with short "run times" of about 1/2 hour to 1 hour each, letting the Generator full cool down before running it again. Following the 20-25 Hour Break-In, CHANGE THE OIL per the manuals.

I've had diesel engines before, and highly recommend a fuel additive known as PRI-D (the "D" is for Diesel). It will extend the life of the fuel, and the engine, and keep the injectors clean. Its a great product.

If you have a question, Aurora Generator is only a phone call away, and their staff is absolutely terrific. They know every subtle detail about their product, and can answer any questions you might have.

This company is one Class Act in every way. And, they make a fine product. DO NOT MISTAKE this Generator with similar looking Chinese Generators, there is no comparison when you get into the internal construction of the unit. I'm an engineer by training, and can appreciate that "There is no substitute for Quality."

If you are looking for this type of product, you've found it, and won't be disappointed.

When I called late on a Monday, the salesperson I spoke with, Mike, was friendly and helpful to get my order placed even though the office was closing. He took the time to explain options and details and took all the information necessary to have my order processed immediately the following morning. We were on a tight schedule and he was very accommodating. He gave me an approximate idea of the shipping cost and said he would call if it was any higher. I received a call from him early the next morning while my order was being processed to let me know of a slight increase in the shipping cost to ensure I wanted to proceed with the order. My generator is now on its way and I have all the tracking information to follow it on its way here. I am very happy with the level of friendly communication and the speed and efficiency my order received. Thank you Mike.

I was in the market for a diesel home generator. I went to the internet and selected Aurora because their website was informative and easy to understand. Once convinced of the model I wanted I began a series of phone calls and emails with Ron the owner. I had other people interested in the same unit and Ron gave us a very good deal. Once I placed the order Ron kept in touch and everything went smoothly for delivery. The unit is exactly as shown online and perhaps even better.
Aurora has been ready with instant help during my install, a service that is valued. Parts are available from them as well. I am happy to have found Aurora Generators and would advise others to use them.

I am Very happy with my new generator, it's better than I thought it would be, it was packaged and shipped incredibly well and quite easy to set up. I purchased the 10kw enclosed unit. The generator arrived in good condition.
During the install, any questions that came up were answered by knowledgeable people.
After installation the fluids were added and it started on the first try. I would recommend this company to anyone that asks.

I live in the woods , north of Elliot Lake Ontario ,off grid. I already have a Perkins 4 cylinder diesel and a water driven turbine.
I now also have an Aurora 6500 watt silent diesel to fill a gap in power needs. The diesel it's self works great and I am very happy with it BUT what works even better is Steve and Mike.
They went to extraordinary effort to make sure that I knew what i was getting, how to use it and maintain it properly.
My only issue now is, IF they can do it , why cann't all these other companies do just as well. Aurora has proven that you can still give great service and be polite and efficent as well.

Absolutely excellent service! Worth every dime and then some! The diesel generator we bought from Aurora is a solid, well made machine and their after-sale support is a rare pleasure. One feature I insisted on having was the remote start/stop control. It has already saved me a LOT of walking to and from the genrator. I was unable to find this feature offered on anyone else's product.

I recently purchased a diesel generator through E- Bay from Aurora Motors.It was a very happy experience.Their fast shipping right to my garage door was phenomenal.It arrived within three days.
I dealt with a Ron Katz who responded to my every question via E-mail within hours.I ordered a remote starter, received the wrong part, and E-mailed Ron regarding the mix up.His response was immediate,called his supplier who immediately sent out the correct part along with a return shipping
label for the part sent in error.Anything I needed to know regarding my particular generator I can find on their web site including great videos.Most of it is available free to download.I even had a live chat using their chat line regarding a maintenance question.The technician was very knowledgeable and courteous as I didn't really understand the metric system.He solved my problem within minutes. Definitely a first class machine and definitely a first class company to do business with!
I ran the generator for the initial break in period of twenty five hours, and it never missed a beat!I would recommend this generator to anybody as well as the professionalism extended to me by staff.

I recieved my 12kw open frame genset today. It was boxed and shipped in perfect condition. It took me about an hour to check over the machine and get it set up. On start up the machine took about 5 crank cycles befor it fired up. Air in the fuel system and a minor learning curve on my part with the controller. The unit ran excellent! I was very happy with its ability to start several air compressors. The only thing that could use improvement is the size of the controllers digital display. Its very small and hard to read. All in all for the price this machine is a great buy.

the generator is great....i am a mechanic. there was a problem that i caused, and ron took the time to really help me find what i did wrong and he was actually concerned ...and that is unusual in this day and time. also, another guy from the company called later and left a message with two numbers to call if i needed more help. ...unbelievable... good news if you depend on your generator in a jam.(!) i am very surprised how much help i got. when the problem was actually my fault/ -dave

I did extensive research before ordering my generator and seeing and operating my new red silent diesel generator I know I chose the right company. The generator arrived in absolutely perfect condition and the shipping was unbelievably fast. It just looks and feels like quality. I have not found ANY flaws, and I have gone over it very carefully. I own 12 cottages that I rent out and wanted a generator in each. I called up Aurora Generators and the rep helped me select the right model. The service, shipping time and price could not be beat so I placed my order. After receiving the one generator, I ordered 11 more at the same time for all my other cottages. My customers who rent are happy since the units are so easy to operate. My renters have never had a problem nor did they need to call me prior to using them. Why buy from a big box store when you can have these units shipped directly to your front door? I highly recommend this company. You will NOT be disappointed. Every question has always been answered by a rep that wants to help you. Now that's customer service you won't find out there.

I purchased one of these units for our home. It's great. Aurora Generators provide us with a footprint so that we could have a concrete pad poured prior to delivery of the generator. We have it mounted outside our garage. The weather proof housing offers protection from all of the elements.
I also like the fact that the generator panel includes an electronic smart generator controller. It automatically starts and stops the generator engine. It also checks the generator status and reports back any fault condition, eliminating the need for guess work. It is also very helpful that any parts we needed such as filters,etc... Aurora Generators has in stock and we have the parts shipped to us within a few days.
Customer service is top notch! Keep up the good work AGI!!!

I spent a lot of time looking on the web for a diesel generator and ended up buying a 6500 watt Aurora. The service, communication, documentation and support were great and delivery was fast. This is a well-built generator. Highly recommended.

During and after Hurrican Ike, I used my 3000w generator for over 200 hours until the power was fixed. It did great but just wasn't enough to carry all the loads I had. I was moving plugs around to keep from overloading the breaker. In Jan 2009 I purchased an Aurora 6800w silent diesel generator. I have tested it out on my house breaker system and it will run all household equipment except the main A/C. I hope we don't have another Ike, but if we do. I'm ready! I also am a biodiesel producer and so with the diesel generator I can run it for less than a $1.00 per gallon.

I bought a 6.5kw Aurora generator to use in my business of portable boilers. It worked very well, a little noisier than expected and a small oil leak I have to trace. Service and delivery from dieselgenerators was exceptional.

Good solid generator, easy to operate and the remote control works perfectly. Great price fast delivery. Oil changes are messy and it isn't quite as "silent" as I expected, but not bad. The battery supplied is too small to start it in colder weather.

I for one of those 20 kVA home standby generators and it works great. I can power my whole home and don't care about blackouts anymore. I put it on a trailer and now use it up at the cottage also. Thanks for all the information and great telephone support. I have a few people around my cottage that will me calling you soon! Some of us stay open year round.

We had a power failure in our area recently and all our neighbors were envious because our house was the only one on the street with power, thanks to Aurora Generators. We've had our unit for a couple of years now. Still works like a charm. All I've had to do for maintenance is regular oil & filter changes. Any parts that I need I just call up Aurora Generators and they have the parts to me in just a few days. The support system that they have is great. Very friendly and helpful staff. We'll never be stuck in the dark again!

I bought a new generator from Aurora Generators as a surprise for my husband. He loves it! Thinks it's great. I was a little worried at first about buying online, but after talking with one of the very knowledgeable sales reps they explained everything to me. They even went over start up procedures and maintenance with me. You just don't get that kind of service from the big box stores anymore. We told our neighbor about Aurora Generators and after he bought one, Aurora Generators even sent us a referral check! I would definitely recommend Aurora Generators!
