Why Choose a Diesel Home Generator?

Power outages happen. Some last minutes, others last days. A diesel home generator gives you dependable whole-house power so your home stays safe, comfortable, and operational no matter how long the grid is down.

Diesel engines are built for continuous use, strong performance under load, and long service life. That is why diesel power is trusted worldwide in hospitals, communications, transportation, and emergency systems. The same reliability is now available for your home.

Just take a look at what you get:

Long Runtime
Diesel engines are made to work hard 24/7 for extended period even weeks if needed, while costing far less to operate than gasoline, propane, or natural gas systems.

Proven Reliability
Diesel power has been trusted for decades in farming, construction, transportation, hospitals, and emergency services. Homeowners choose it for the same reason, it works when it matters.

Home-Ready Clean Diesel Engines
Modern clean-diesel technology delivers low emissions, efficient performance, and dependable power that is perfectly suited for residential backup use.

Safer Fuel
Diesel fuel is stable, cleaner to handle, and can be safely stored for long periods without the risks associated with gasoline.

Quieter Operation
Diesel generators run at 1800 RPM instead of 3600 RPM like many non-diesel units. Lower RPM means less noise and smoother operation.

Low Maintenance
Service intervals are longer — typically oil and filter changes every 500 hours instead of every 100 hours like many gasoline or propane systems.

Lower Operating Cost
Diesel remains one of the most cost-efficient fuels for standby and extended-runtime power. You get strong performance with lower fuel expense.

Flexible Warranty and Use
Diesel generators are built for true continuous duty. Many gasoline and propane systems are only warrantied for emergency-only use. Diesel gives you more capability when outages are long.

Home Generators

When it comes to producing dependable, low-cost power, diesel remains the preferred choice worldwide. Diesel generators are built to work hard, cost less to operate, last for years, and deliver reliable power when it matters most.

Modern clean-diesel technology has made today’s home generators quieter, cleaner, and far better suited for residential use. They can run full-time or standby, providing long-term backup power with confidence.

Instrumentation & Control

DynaGen controllers make operating your generator simple and reliable. Set it to Automatic and your system will start when needed, or switch to Manual for direct control with a single button. The bright display provides easy-to-read generator status and system information.

An onboard event log tracks runtime and operating history and can alert you when maintenance is due. DynaGen “Tough Series” controllers are built to withstand harsh environments and are compatible with standard transfer switches and remote starting systems.

Fuel Tanks

The 12-gallon (45-litre) internal fuel tank is steel welded and finished with a durable black powder-coated exterior. It includes a 2” NPT vented fill cap for easy refuelling.

Fuel levels are monitored through the electronic gauge on the controller, and a backup mechanical gauge is also included. You’ll always know your fuel status and won’t have to worry about running out during extended outages.

Construction

Generators built on sturdy frames last longer. Our steel structures are powder-coated for corrosion resistance and use vibration isolators to support the generator. By reducing vibration transfer to the ground, the system runs quieter and smoother.

The frame is assembled with stainless steel fasteners and also supports the battery tray and generator control panel. It’s a strong, durable platform designed for long-term reliability.

Diesel Home Generator FAQ

How long can a diesel home generator run continuously?
Diesel generators are designed for extended operation and can run for days or even weeks when serviced properly and fuel is available. Many of our customers use them during prolonged storms and outages without interruption.

Are diesel generators loud?
Modern clean-diesel generators operate at 1800 RPM, making them much quieter than older portable gasoline units and many 3600 RPM systems. With proper enclosure and placement, they are neighborhood-friendly.

How much maintenance do diesel generators require?
Diesel engines are known for durability and low maintenance. Typical service involves oil and filter changes every 500 hours, which is far less frequent than gasoline or propane generators.

Is diesel safe to store at home?
Yes. Diesel fuel is more stable and safer to store than gasoline. It has a low vapor risk, long shelf life, and does not require pressurized tanks like propane.

What size generator do I need for my home?
That depends on the size of your house and the number of appliances you want to power. Many homeowners choose between 10 kW and 25 kW, but we’ll help you size the right system.

Do I need a transfer switch?
Yes. A transfer switch safely connects your home to the generator and prevents back-feeding power into the grid. We supply transfer switches and can help you choose the correct setup.
