AURORA Hybrid Power Generator is a complete OFF Grid power system that is designed to operate as a primary or backup source of power. It is composed of a Perkins diesel generator, deep cycle battery, and power inverter. Together they supply pure sine wave uninterrupted power. As a primary power source, the generator charges batteries and shuts off when they are full. A pure sine wave inverter converters stored battery power to AC without running the generator unless cells need recharging.
Add a renewable energy source such as wind or solar to increase efficiency and reduce operating costs.
AURORA HPG is customizable. Larger engine, batteries, and inverters can be used if needed.
This engine meets U.S. and Canada EPA Tier 4 emission standards. The 403 model is a compact three cylinder 1.1 litre diesel motor that runs at 1800 RPM. Just like all other Caterpillar/Perkins engines, it will run full or part-time for days or weeks at a time, only needing an oil change ever 500 hours of use.
AURORA generators use clean power producing alternators that are safe for use with sensitive electronics. Alternators are brushless and maintenance free.
When the generator is running, power is stored in AGM Batteries. One or more batteries are used depending on the size and model of your AURORA Power Box. Batteries are vibration proof and are rated for high charge and discharge rates. To increase the storage capacity, additional batteries maybe added in the future.
One of the systems that is responsible for charger the batteries, converting battery power to pure sine-wave power and telling the generator to start is this AIMS Charger Inverter.
Generators built on sturdy frames last longer. Our steel structures are powder coated to increase corrosion resistance and use vibration isolators to support the generator. By eliminating vibrations from being transferred to the ground, generators run quieter!
The frame is assembled using all stainless steel fasteners and also supports the battery tray and generator control panel.
DynaGen controllers make using your generator easy. Place it to Automatic or manually turn your generator on and off with the push of one button. The display provides easy to read generator instrumentation. An event log keeps track of operation and can be set to alert you when it is time to change the oil.
The DynaGen "tough" series controllers are intended to operate even in harsh conditions, without fail. Simple two wire start makes them compatible with any standard transfer switch or remote starting system.
Just add fuel - There is a fuel tank built-into the bottom of the generator. You can easily tell how much fuel is in it by looking at the gauge on the tank; however, the generator controller also monitors the fuel level and shows you on display. It can even alert you when it is getting low and needs refilling. The tank is large enough to run the generator for a full day. Larger fuel tanks are also available.
Tamper-proof! - The canopy enclosure is designed to keep the generator secure and help protect it from the weather outside. Since the engine is a slow turning diesel, it's naturally quieter than gas units and even more so with the steel canopy enclosing it. Two big removable panels make accessing the generator inside easy. When not in use, the latches lock to keep it all safe and secure. No tools are needed.
The enclosure is steel and galvanized. It has been powder coated to help protect it from corrosion. Should it ever need to be removed, it's assembled using only stainless steel hardware
