VIGILANT SERIES TRANSFER SWITCHES

Does your home or business have a 200 amp service? If it does, this automatic transfer switch may be a perfect match. When the power fails, the Vigilant 200 amp ATS will safely switch from mains power to backup power automatically. For generators equipped with a two wire start system, the built in ATS controller will signal it to turn on automatically. When normal powers restored, the ATS will switches back to your mains. The controller then signals the generator to shut down.

Vigilant automatic transfer switches are both UL and ULc approved. Your electrician can install them in Canada or the USA as it meets the legal electrical standards for both countries.

The Vigilant Series ATS is designed to automatically transfer critical loads in the event of a power outage. It consists of a simple, rugged design while maintaining the flexibility required to meet the needs of residential, agricultural, and light industrial applications.

  • Rugged Contractor Design – Double Throw, Mechanically Interlocked.
  • Galvanized Steel Enclosure.
  • Externally accessible Exerciser Clock and Lamps.
  • 5-Year Warranty.

The VTSC100 Logic Controller Board is at the heart of every Vigilant Automatic Transfer Switch. It is designed to provide all basic transfer switch control functions with simplicity, flexibility, and durability.

Features include:

  • Powered from genset battery for isolation against line transients.
  • Integrated voltage and frequency sensing.
  • Adjustable transfer delays using on-board potentiometers.
  • Fused remote start contact relays.
  • Adjustable drop-out & pick-up values for voltage and frequency.
  • Internal test switch included.

Conformally Coated - Every VTSC controller board is thoroughly conformally coated to create an effective barrier against moisture, fungus and other contaminants that can cause:

  • Short circuits.
  • Corrosion of conductors and solder joints.
  • Electrical leakage between circuits.
  • Mechanical stress of components.
  • Loss of insulation protection.

Galvanized Steel Enclosure – This duplex coated, galvanized G90 grade steel meets American Society for testing and Materials (ASTM) standard A653, with a service life of more than twice that of regular steel.

Exterior Accessability – The easy–to–use, 7–day exerciser clock gives full control over day and time. The exerciser clock and indicator lamps are both accessible from outside the transfer switch – no need to open the door, even with the NEMA 3 enclosure option.

VTSC100 Logic Controller Board – The controls harbored in the center of every Vigilant automatic transfer switch. It is designed to provide all basic transfer switch control functions with simplicity, flexibility, and durability.

Features include:

  • Powered from genset battery for isolation against line transients.
  • Integrated voltage and frequency sensing.
  • Adjustable transfer delays using on–board potentiometers.
  • Fused remote start contact relays.
  • Adjustable drop–out & pick–up values for voltage and frequency.
  • Internal test switch included.

Galvanized Corrosion Protection – Standard on all Vigilant enclosures; they are made from duplex coated, galvanized G90 grade steel and meets American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard A653. The service life of our galvanized steel enclosures is more than twice that of regular steel.

5–Year Warranty – One of the best comprehensive parts warranty in the industry.

HOW IT WORKS

Home Generator Systems are permanently connected via a transfer switch to your home's electrical system for an automatic response to power failure.

The Home Generator System's computer–controlled Transfer Switch continually monitors your connection to local utility power.

When utility power is disrupted, the transfer switch confirms that a true power outage has occurred and signals the standby generator to start.

The system supplies backup power to your home within 30 seconds. When utility power is restored, the system automatically senses it, restores utility power, and resumes monitoring until the next utility failure.
